An ISA Certified Arborist has received professional recognition that sets them apart from others. Southern Arbiorist Source is accredited by the American National Standards Instititute for having the training and knowledge in all aspects of arboriculture.
SAS meets or exceeds the strict code of ethics required for the certification:
- Three or more years of full-time, eligible, practical work experience in arboriculture;
- A degree in the field of arboriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture or forestry from a regionally accredited education institute.
An ISA Certified Arborist must continue their education to maintain their certification. Thus, SAS is more likely to have knowledge of the latest information and techniques available in the field. SAS are experts in the structure and function of trees, including growth, cultivation, pruning, diseases and decay. SAS has knowledge of tree biology and anatomy and are experienced climbers and trimmers of trees, shrubs and vines.
